My boyfriend and I live just around the corner from Piazza CLN in Torino, the city in which I was born and (partially) grew up.
The piazza is dominated by two fountains which represent the two rivers that cross Torino, The Po and The Dora. It is also famous for being the location of several crucial moments of Dario Argento's film “Profondo Rosso (Deep Red)” as well as being the Gestapo headquarters during the German occupation in the Second World War.
Doropea is an homage to “my” city, to its atmosphere, its being an European portal, home for me every time I come back from my incessant travelling, to having kept me surrounded and protected by the Alps and the hills and to those two rivers whose currents underlie the sound of Doropea.
